While it is undeniably great to be able to dress your plane as a pizza in Microsoft Flight Simulator, there is good news for those who are looking for a more substantial update. World Update 3, which introduces new terrain and map data for the United Kingdom (England, Wales, and Scotland), will be released on February 16.

Flight Sim Support's official Twitter account confirmed this today." The team is putting the final touches on all aspects of this major update."

The company tweeted.

The update was originally scheduled for January 26, but suffered a slight delay. At the time of its announcement, Asobo confirmed that new aerial photos, five new airports, over 70 new attractions, and five new photogrammetric cities would be added.

However, it was the cities that caused the delay. 'Unfortunately, these new cities are causing some delays. We need to update our tools in order for these cities to be seamlessly integrated into the sim." For more information on the contents of World Update 3, see this blog post.
