This simple balheim modification improves performance by up to 30 fps.

Valheim is one of the better-running Early Access survival games, but some hardware may struggle to produce a consistent 60 fps. Fortunately, one player on the Valheim subreddit found a series of quick fixes that greatly improve performance.

I play Valheim with all graphics settings down to 1440p and am able to play at around 60 fps (often lower in densely forested areas). However, after following the three steps outlined in Redditor RustyB3ans' guide, my performance skyrocketed to 90fps. That's a whopping 50 percent performance improvement.

Thankfully, even if you are not computer savvy, RustyB3ans explains the three necessary steps with pictures, making it easy to follow.

The steps are simple:

That's it! You may not get the performance boost that I got, but you will notice a jump in overall fps. If you have weird lighting or graphics bugs, RustyB3ans recommends removing "gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1" from the boot.config file.

If this solution works, please let us know in the comments; judging by the replies in RustyB3ans' Reddit thread, many players are clearly seeing improved performance.
