Treyarch seems to be teasing a zombie mode for Call of Duty Warzone Season 2. [The first hint came from the Warzone Rumble playlist, where a trial unit was spotted on the Verdansk Hospital map by Twitter user Eric Maynard. The trial machine was from Black Ops Cold War's Zombies mode and was used to earn rewards for completing challenges (from Eurogamer).

It is unclear if this machine actually exists, as the textures are a bit snarky and a script that reads ZAI/ACTIVATE_ZOMBIES appears when you approach it. It is also impossible to interact with the machine, so it is unclear whether Treyarch is intentionally messing with us or accidentally dropped the tomfoolery ahead of time.

Players have also experienced screen distortions, especially when entering the office on the new Rebirth Island map. Some distortions only last a few seconds, but reddit user u/Soggy_nugget86 posted an extended version of the distortion that includes Russian dialogue. fellow reddit user u/Wolf-of-icewrack was kind enough to translate the dialogue into English:

"- Dispatch, here Russian ship "Vodyanoy" channel 1-2, over.

"-Dispatch, this is dispatch, requesting permission to transport to Verdansk.

"-Dispatch, cargo secured, all systems normal. Prepare for departure. Over.

Vodyanoy's ship has already been spotted on Rebirth Island by Twitter user KStidge. The player is convinced that the ship is carrying Nova 6. Nova 6 is a biochemical weapon manufactured on Rebirth Island and also appears in the original black ops zombie mode.

It is very likely that zombie mode will make its way to Warzone, most likely with season 2. players who continually attempt team kills are now kicked.
