Dell seems to be making room for newer generations of hardware by discounting laptops with older GPUs. As is the case with Dell's G5 15 gaming system, you can still get a powerful gaming laptop now at an attractive discount.

It should be noted that this is a "doorbuster" deal and quantities are limited. Dell also lists the estimated price at $1,539.99. Theoretically, this deal would save $440. Nevertheless, this discounted price is a solid bargain for the hardware.

The hardware includes the one-two punch of a 6-core/12-thread Intel Core i7 10750H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. the Max-Q designation means that the RTX 2070 at full power and the same level performance, but it remains a powerful GPU with dedicated hardware for ray-traced gaming.

This is also a well-rounded setup. In addition to a capable CPU and GPU combination, Dell has included 16GB of DDR4-2933 RAM and a 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD in this configuration. The laptop also supports Killer Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless modules and Bluetooth 5.1.

All of this drives a 15.6" display with a resolution of 1920x1080 and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. All in all, this is a great laptop and the price is really attractive.
