Dual-sense PS5 Controller Drift Problem Sues Sony

I've always been a Sony fan, but the recent lawsuit over the PS5's dual-sense controller has me questioning my life choices.

Have you ever experienced a problem where the analog stick on the controller senses a mystical input even though you are not operating anything, causing your character to drift aimlessly off a cliff or to stare wistfully at the sky? Same thing. And those who participated in online forums and Sony's own pre-release testers of this hardware had similar impressions.

Disappointed by the controller problems and Sony's apparent willful negligence, Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP has now filed a class action suit against the company.

According to IGN and Metro, the lawsuit documents state that the issue "significantly interferes with gameplay and thus impairs the core functionality of the dual-sense controller." They further allege that Sony's actions are "fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, and unfair," especially considering the limited repair options available for this issue.

Because it is a class action, any U.S. citizen who feels the pain of an allegedly "defective" controller can add his or her evidence to the claim, thereby advancing the case. Those who experience this problem may be eligible to receive money for the controller drift problem.
