Valheim Patch Solves Tombstone Loss Case

"Valheim" is the first prominent hit of the year, having sold over 2 million copies on Steam. This is partly due to the fact that it is an Early Access game and doesn't feel Early Access, but of course there are various problems.

The patch released today addresses a few minor complaints. As Chris pointed out when explaining how to build an indoor bonfire (come on, it's harder than you think), venting the smoke from various fire sources indoors is an old pain, but the "hearth smoke-making fix" should hopefully make it less frustrating. The game now autosaves every 20 minutes (it used to be 30 minutes), a slight synchronization issue when picking up certain items like rocks and carrots has been fixed, and the frame rate issues that some dedicated servers were having have been corrected.

The most eye-catching fix, however, is to a problem I have never encountered. When dying in Valheim, a character would respawn in bed and have to go back to the place where they met their end and reacquire all their equipment from the newly spawned tombstone. However... For some players, the tombstone did not spawn.

Considering how frustrating it was, I guess I got lucky. See the full patch notes.
