Free audio commentary for "Firewatch" now available in e-book format

Firewatch publisher Panic is offering a free transcription of the Firewatch Audio Tour to help you revisit Wyoming's woodlands.

Announced via Twitter, the transcription is not only a convenient way to read insights from Firewatch developers; Panic's Cabel Sasser's introduction explains that due to "time constraints," the original audio tour lacked subtitles, making it inaccessible to many.

"There, the tour was not accessible to many people.

"So, over the years, we have gradually transcribed all the tracks from the Firewatch audio tour and compiled them here for you," Sasser writes.

"I apologize in advance, but as we raced toward the finish line, there will almost certainly be typos and omissions.

The audio tour of Firewatch was released a few months after its release, adding over three hours of commentary by the game's developers and voice actors. It runs to 175 pages and discusses everything from the writing of the intricate character relationships to the finer points of writing and optimization of Firewatch's hazy mountain roads.
