Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 "indefinitely postponed" due to developer change.

"Vampire ..." which was postponed until later this year. : The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been postponed to 2021. More damning, however, is the news that developer Hardsuit Labs has dropped out of the project.

Paradox CEO Ebba Ljungerud revealed in his year-end earnings report that the publisher has postponed several "planned but not reported" releases within 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. However, "Bloodlines 2" has received particular attention, and not only has it been postponed from this year, but it appears that an entirely new team will finish development.

"We have decided that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of "Bloodlines 2". This was a difficult decision, but we are confident that it is the right path to take to give this game its due credit.

Following this announcement, Epic announced that it would stop taking pre-orders as the game had been "indefinitely delayed."

"Bloodlines 2" suffered setback after setback. Lead writer Brian Mitsoda was abruptly fired, along with creative director Ka'ai Cluney, a week after the game was pushed back to 2021. Hardsuit's development seemed to be having problems. However, removing an entire studio from the project is shocking news and puts the long-suffering vampire sequel in an extremely precarious position; Paradox has not revealed who will complete the game, but it is likely that the new studio will be able to put the scars of the arduous development Hopefully, the new studio will be able to deliver a "Bloodlines 2" that doesn't leave too many scars from its arduous development.
