Call of Duty: Cold War multiplayer free for a week.

If you haven't played Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War yet, you might want to get some game time in. To celebrate the release of Season 2, Activision has made Cold War's multiplayer and Outbreak modes available for free for one week.

The free access week begins on February 25 at 10:00 am PT (6:00 pm GMT) and lasts until March 4 at 10:00 am PT (6:00 pm GMT). Free modes include Cold War's new zombie mode Outbreak.

The Apocalypse 24/7 playlist will also be available during the Season 2 launch and free access week. Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint modes, perfect for those looking for a more traditional Call of Duty experience.

The fan-favorite gun game also makes its Cold War debut, with a free-for-all rotation of 20 pre-determined weapons. Other free-to-play multiplayer modes include "Gunfight Blueprint" and "Face Off."

In addition, from February 26 at 10 a.m. PT through March 1 at 10 a.m. PT, both paid and free players will receive double XP and double weapon XP. And if you are tempted during the free access week to purchase the full version, you will also inherit the progress you have earned.
