Konami is creating a flogger game show for people who are good at crossing busy streets.

If you're good at jaywalking, there's just the opportunity for you. Konami is about to turn the classic arcade game "Frogger," in which you guide a frog across a busy road, into a TV game show. It's exactly what you'd think: an obstacle race in which contestants must "dodge dangerous traffic, jump over snapping alligators, and leap over hungry hippos."

According to Deadline, the series will be broadcast on NBC's Peacock and will feature 13 obstacle courses that contestants must complete. The show will be filmed on location in Australia, but anyone with a U.S. passport is eligible to enter and live out their wild frog fantasies. The winner will receive a "huge" cash prize, but once they become known around the world as a "living frog," they won't need the money.

The show is similar to Netflix's "Floor is Lava" series. The show may have been a hit at a time when many of us were incarcerated in the midst of a pandemic and desperate for something, anything, to occupy our time. Konami and NBC may be hoping that "Frogger" will play a similar role.

Those who really want to audition for "Frogger" and become part of video game history can apply here.
