Asus PC DIY is proud to introduce the voice of Women Who Build in advance of its new PC homebuilding event this February.

Asus held its first-ever Asus PC DIY Day last December to highlight the PC homebuilding community. It aimed to create a diverse and inclusive PC DIY community for homebuilders of all backgrounds and experience levels, and celebrated all things PC homebuilding with insightful panel discussions, contests, giveaways, and a live stream Asus is committed to providing PC DIY-focused community event on an ongoing basis, highlighting the unique experiences of homebuilders and showing that anyone can start building their own PCs. "Asus' goal is to create a safe space for new and experienced builders to learn, build, and share their love of PC DIY"

.

During the event, Deb from Andie the Lab, along with Twitch streamers ARUUU and NoisyButters, were on the Women Who Build panel sharing their unique experiences as women in the PC DIY and PC gaming community in a great They led the discussion. The women explored their influences in PC gaming and PC building, shared past and upcoming PC builds, and discussed their experiences working with Asus.

The Women Who Build Panel emphasized the importance of highlighting women's voices in an industry that needs further diversity and representation: according to the ESA, only 22% of the gaming industry workforce is female, even though approximately 41% of gamers in the U.S. PC DIY serves as a gateway for aspiring STEM and computer science students, and the Women Who Build Panel provided both inspiration and insight into each builder's journey to becoming a tech enthusiast and streamer in the gaming space.

Tech and PC gaming content creator NoisyButters is no stranger to the PC-building arena; his teenage hobby was sports, but he eventually went on to work as an IT services technician and became a motherboard, graphics card, and everything in between. He is well-versed in the field. And it was Call of Duty esports player and fellow creator Ashley "MiDNiTE" Glassel who inspired him to start creating content. for NoisyButters, PC DIY is not just about playing the latest PC games, she explained during the panel discussion that it is "also a form of pride. I love to look at the PC I built, I designed it, I think,"

and "I love the fact that it's a PC that I can use, that I can use, that I can use, that I can use.

Deb, a producer, videographer, and editor for the "Lab Tested" series with her dog Andy, has built her reputation around cinematography and trying to bring visual life to automotive reviews. Most recently, in partnership with companies such as Asus, EK Waterblocks, and Corsair, Deb's eyes have turned to technology, specifically building PCs and sim racing with Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Deb's first build that interested her in what other correlations she might discover in technology and cars was actually a full custom water loop build of a Threadripper and dual Titan RTX dating back about six months. One interesting fact about that build is that it has a whopping 44TB of NVME storage. In addition, Deb likes to point out that, like her video skills, all of her "build knowledge" comes from watching fellow YouTubers such as Linus Tech Tips, Gamer Nexus, and The Verge's famous build videos, which she lovingly mentions. Since then, her latest build this past February became her fourth custom build, featuring an Asus ROG Strix X570-I mini-ITX motherboard, ROG RYUJIN 360 liquid CPU cooler, and ROG Swift PG65UQ gaming monitor, with 4K-ready gaming and Team Red all-AMD build in red for sim racing. She already has three more builds planned and is even taking a break from real-world automotive reviews to focus on builds and hardcore sim racing training.

For ARUUU, her interest in PC games and builds developed over time as a gamer and streamer, and her journey as a content creator began as a way to connect with other gamers, inspired by other female creators like NoisyButters ARUUU is looking to build a new PC rig to experience unique gaming features like ray tracing and shaders: "Having a gaming rig now is incredible and I realize how much I've missed out on. I've learned how to hook up monitors and put them on stands, I've learned how to install graphics cards, things I never imagined I'd be able to do."
