Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Delayed

CD Projekt Red has delayed the release of patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077.

The studio cites a recent hack that resulted in an encryption attack on the company's servers as well as the theft of source code for several games and confidential company documents. CDPR says, "Due to the scope of the recent cyberattacks and updates to the studio's IT infrastructure, and the wide range of updates. Unfortunately, this is not going to happen.

The patch was originally scheduled to be released this month, but CDPR said it "exceeds any of the previous updates," meaning the scope of Patch 1.2 will not reach until late March.

"It's not news we're happy to share, but we want to make sure we get this update off the ground. Please stay tuned for more information as the time approaches. Thank you for your continued understanding and support."

The patch is part of a broader, ongoing attempt to fix multiple glitches in the game that have been a bit of a mess since its launch in November. Patch 1.1 was released last month and fixed a number of issues, but CDPR's Cyberpunk timeline includes more patches, improvements, and free DLC.
