General
Valheim has now sold more than 4 million copies.

The Viking survival game "Valheim" surpassed 3 million sales less than a week ago, a milestone achieved in less than three weeks. Developer Iron Gate and publisher Coffee Stain announced today that sales have surpassed 4 million units.

The latest million milestone comes just days after Valheim surpassed the 500,000 concurrent player mark, temporarily overtaking Dota 2 to become the second most played game on Steam. It has since fallen back a bit, but still holds on to third place: today's peak is just under 400,000 concurrent players so far.

Other interesting trivia:

"I don't think I've had time to ponder it. I know the players love the game very much, but at the same time I know we can do better in the future. We look forward to adding more content to the game, especially working on the remaining biomes."

"Over a year ago I was describing Valheim to a friend as a game that made me feel the way I felt the first time I fell in love with a game," said Albert Säfström, CEO of Coffee Stain Publishing. Until three weeks ago, I thought this was a unique connection that only I had with Valheim." The incredible welcome I've received from players over the past few weeks has made me realize that Valheim is truly special, not just to me, but to more players than I could have ever imagined."

Svensson also said that while they hope to have the new Mistland biome revealed in the recent development roadmap finished by the end of the year, it may ultimately take more time.

As things are progressing, I do not feel he needs to rush.
