New AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics card, announced March 3

AMD has announced that it will unveil its next graphics cards based on the RDNA 2 architecture on March 3, 2021, with a tweet from the official Radeon RX account stating that details on the RX 6000 family will be revealed at 11:00 a.m. EST (4:00 p.m. GMT) The tweet was accompanied by the tagline "Where Gaming Begins."

This is exciting news, as the announcement should cover some of the more affordable RDNA 2 GPUs; the RX 6700 XT and RX 6700 are expected to be announced for sure, and rumors are growing that the RX 6600 may also be on the way. It won't be long before we find out now.

So far we have seen the impressive Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800, and the less impressive RX 6900 XT. However, these are all at the high end of the graphics pile and cost quite a bit.

At least they would be if they could actually be purchased; as with Nvidia's latest cards, it is almost impossible to actually find new AMD cards.

Also, with the threat of crypto-mining looming over recent launches, Nvidia has enhanced the mining capabilities of its RTX 3060; AMD's RDNA 2 cards are not as sought after in this regard due to their low hash rates, but they are still in high demand.

As a side note, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 has just been released and is worth a read if you are looking for a more affordable next-generation graphics card.
