Roccat's Kone AIMO Remastered is a great mouse and is now down to $60.

Finding the best gaming mouse for the price can be difficult. That said, the Kone AIMO Remastered from Roccat is worth a look.

This is $20 less than list price. Of course, this isn't the biggest discount in the world, but with some gaming mice costing over $100 (such as Razer's Viper Ultimate Wireless), this is a great deal on a mouse that was affordable even before the discount.

We reviewed the original Kone AIMO several years ago and found it to be a "thoroughbred" among the competition with its thick, curvy design, noting at the time that "criticism of it is just nitpicking."

"Roccat manages to create something precise, controllable, customizable (and if it tickles your fancy, you can even bring back the glory days of the Microsoft Intellimouse by enabling the mouse trajectory can), it's good to see a company producing a solid product with few gimmicks," we wrote at the time.

The "Remastered" model ups the ante with a 16,000 DPI Owl-Eye optical sensor (up from 12,000 DPI), more RGB lighting zones, and an improved thumb area. These are minor upgrades, but considering how much we liked the original model, we appreciate this upgrade.

This upgraded version also retains the Easy-Shift feature from the previous release. That is, it has a dedicated button that allows secondary functions to be programmed into all other buttons (23 possible functions in total).
