Terraria still comes to stadia.

Terraria still comes to stadia.

Earlier this month, Andrew Spinks, co-creator of "Terraria," halted development of the "Stadia" version he was working on. The problem, he said, was that Re-Logic's YouTube account was accidentally deactivated, and it took three weeks to get it back up.

"I can only take it as you have decided to burn this bridge," Spinks tweeted on February 8. 'Consider it burned, Terraria for Google Stadia is cancelled. My company will no longer support your platform in any way.

As the owner of an Android tablet connected to an account for a password lost forever, I can absolutely relate to Spinx's misfortune. However, while I was unable to resolve the issue with Google, Spinks did.

"As you may have noticed, we have had a large number of issues since early in the year, starting with the locking of Redigit's entire Google account in early January," Re-Logic's Ted "Loki" Murphy wrote in his February State of the Game update "After a month of pushing

"After a month of pushing (and tremendous fan support), Google was finally able to reach out and provide a lot of transparency about the situation and restore access to all accounts.

"Through the efforts of the Stadia team and our partners at 505 Games, we have decided to allow Terraria to launch on Google Stadia. The Terraria Stadia build is based on DR Studios 1.4.0.5 (the latest) build and is currently undergoing certification review by Google.

Google is obviously a big company and has a lot on its plate, but even so, we don't think a month is a reasonable amount of time to unlock accounts that were accidentally disabled, especially corporate accounts. However, as Eurogamer points out, Google may have a bit of extra incentive: recently Stadia Games and Entertainment was shut down a week before Re-Logic blew up, and Stadia is now, completely dependent on outside studios for content production.
