Latest Patch for "Call of Duty: Warzone" May Fix Infinite Stim Glitch

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but the infinite stims glitch in "Call of Duty: Warzone," the seemingly invulnerable entity that destroys fair matches, may actually already be dead. Listen.

Activision has released four separate fixes to eliminate the exploit that allows players to survive outside the circle indefinitely using the Stim tool. Players have found new ways to do this with each fix, but this time may be different: one of the gameplay changes described in Warzone's Season 2 patch notes seems to be laser-focused on the Stim glitch and its ilk.

"Players who are continuously immersed in the gas take more damage over time" My goodness, that could be so simple and work. Whereas past modifications focused on the exploit of the stims themselves, this change bypasses the player and addresses another aspect of the problem: the gas. In the past, exploits worked because the gas was able to heal faster by injecting the stims than by damaging them. However, the longer the gas is immersed, the higher the heat. If Raven adjusts well, the damage from the gas will eventually outweigh the amount of recovery from the stims, killing them.

I can see the scene now. Some dumb con man is relaxing in a quiet corner of the map, doing stims with one hand and sipping Gfuel with the other. And then bam: the gas picks up steam and they are left standing there, dying. It's truly the natural order of things.

At least, I hope so. The only way around this new problem, in my opinion, is to somehow get so far off the map that the gas can't reach them at all. This has happened before, but Activision has been quick to plug that hole before the problem gets bigger.

Hopefully we can finally put an end to this nasty exploit and return to the Warzone version of normal.
