Deep Rock Galactic Outlines 2021 Plan, Including Largest Update Ever

Cooperative mining and shooting game Deep Rock Galactic is getting more updates for 2021, and it looks like the SF dwarves won't be stopping their bug squashing anytime soon. The first update will be small and will take place in April, while the second update will take place between July and September.

The first update is called Bits N' Pieces and will include official modding support (on Steam). It will also include significant weapon balancing and the ability to rebind controller inputs.

The second update is what the developer said may be "the biggest update ever." The unnamed update 35 will include new mission types, new weapons, overclocking of old and new weapons, new cosmetics, and UI updates.

Our own Robin Valentine called Deep Rock Galactic "the gateway to endless co-op adventures" when he wrote about the game as a staff pick last year. He specifically noted how the game uses procedural generation within a defined framework to make cool missions appear on the fly.Deep Rock Galactic also received an update in January, with two new biomes and a commensurate new boss, Hive Guard, Racator, and Arbalest were added. I hate all of them.
