15-year-old Cthulhu game "Dark Corners of the Earth" fully mod-compatible.

"Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" is a horror game developed by Head First and published by Bethesda. But, as Lovecraft said, it is not the dead that can lie forever, and "Dark Corners" has built a reputation as a cult classic in the years since, thanks in part to a memorable hotel chase.

It's an old game full of bugs, but like "Bloodlines," it has an indispensable fan patch, whether it's the frustrating difficulty spikes or the swing back into action game territory more than "Bloodlines" DCoTEPatch is the work of sucklead and he continued to tinker with the game and has now created an injection hook that forces the mods directory to be checked before running.

This means that this 15-year-old game is compatible with the Vortex Mod Manager, which also has a page on NexusMods, but so far only hosts a few existing graphics updates: Creepy HDR ReShade and Sharp Corners of the Earth, a 5.5GB texture pack; thanks to the hard work of sucklead, this nearly forgotten game may get some mod love.

While you're here, Retro Gamer's making of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is worth a read.
