Netflix has announced the seven cast members for The Witcher Season 2.

The casting was announced on the Witcher Twitter account, with descriptions of each character and their respective actors.

Bridgerton actor Adjoa Andoh will play Nenneke, who will play Geralt's mother in the film. She does not appear in any of the "Witcher" games, but makes a brief appearance in "The Witcher 3."

Graham McTavish, who played Dwalin in the "Hobbit" film trilogy, will play Dijkstra. This spymaster appears in several quests in "The Witcher 3" and is the giant crime lord of Novigrad.

Cathy Clare will join as Philippa Eilhardt, a shape-shifting sorceress and head of a sorcerer's lodge. Mage Lience will be played by Chris Fulton, also from Bridgeton, and Kevin Doyle will play Varian, a character original to the Netflix show. Finally, partners in crime Codlinger and Fenn will be played by writer/director/actor Simon Callow and actor/comedian/disability activist Liz Carr.

"The Witcher" Season 2 is currently scheduled to premiere this year after delays due to the global pandemic and Henry Cavill's minor injury in December 2020. Here is what we know about the second season, including the cast announced so far.
