Hearthstone's 20.0 patch will be released on March 25. This update will nerf Nitroboost and make some changes to Battlegrounds, but more importantly, it will soon launch the "Classic Format," which will use all 240 of the game's original cards as they were in 2014! ...

Announced in February, Classic Format is like World of Warcraft Classic for CCG, taking players back to the beginning, specifically the 1.0.0.5832 patch in June 2014, and undoing all balance changes since then! . Blizzard said at the time, "In Classic format, Warsong Commander can give Charge to minions, Holy Smite can face, and Leeroy Jenkins costs four mana. and Leeroy Jenkins will cost 4 mana."

To accomplish this, when the patch is released, the entire collection of cards associated with Basic, Classic, and Hall of Fame will be mirrored and they will be restored and available for deck building. Classic cards will appear in their own section of the Collection Manager, allowing you to further grow your collection with Classic packs.

The Classic format leaderboards will go live with the March 30 release of the "Forged in the Barrens" expansion, and a new Core Set will replace the Standard Basic and Classic Sets. The cards that make up the "Core Set" will be slightly different from those originally announced.

"After taking the time to consider community feedback, we have replaced the previously announced "Core Set" versions of Stone Task Boar and Blue Gill Warrior with two entirely new minions, Emerald Sky Talon and Red Gill Razor Joe! !" Blizzard stated. Blizzard stated.

Blizzard also updated Shaman's Hero Power, replacing the Wrath of Air (spell damage) totem with Strength Totem, a new totem that gives a friendly minion +1 attack at end of turn.

"The Great Unnerfing" will return the nerf to a wild rotation of 36 cards; there are five days between the March 25 patch distribution and the March 30 set rotation, which Blizzard says "will make this weekend's Standard meta very interesting," they warn. Here are the changes:

Magical Spell School will be added to spells already released in Standard and Wild by the patch, which Blizzard says "will add a new layer of synergy and depth to your entire collection." The update also brings changes to Hearthstone's rewards track ahead of the first update on March 30, doubling the number of core reward levels from 50 to 100 and halving the amount of XP required to achieve each level.

When the patch is released, the incomplete Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Gameplay and Duels achievements will no longer grant XP in the Rewards Track and will instead earn XP through the new Forged in the Barrens achievement Blizzard will also be giving away a Golden Classic Card Pack to everyone who logs in after the 20.0 update is released, so you'll probably want to get that too.

Naturally, the update will also include various bug fixes and gameplay changes. See the list below and the full patch notes at playhearthstone.com.
