Fortnite removes Battle Pass items mistakenly sold in store

Update: Epic has since confirmed that the song's introduction was a mistake and announced on Twitter that it will refund 200 V-Bucks to those who purchased the item in the store.

Original Article Epic Games has removed the item from the Fortnite store, which was sold despite being a perk of this season's Battle Pass.

The Wild Lobby Track, a music pack item from the latest Zero Crisis Finale event, is a level 70 reward for the Season 6 Battle Pass Epic promised that it would never sell Battle Pass items in its store, but previously had merchandise has been in trouble for reskinning merchandise.

Players noticed the glitch on reddit (thank you, Eurogamer) and u/gstaffEpic stated that the item "wasn't supposed to be there" and that Epic is "taking it down from the store."

An Epic representative also stated that the item was "not supposed to be there" and that Epic is "taking it down from the store."

A previous tweet that featured the music track as a store item was removed from Fortnite's social channels before a statement was released on the Fortnite Status Twitter account.
