Varheim's modifications make the kicks snappier.

As I've written before, kicking in games is the best thing you can do with your virtual legs: games like "FEAR," "Dying Light," and "Dark Messiah" are good at kicking: you can not only shoot and stab your enemies, you can beat them to death with your legs. Kicking is much better than slashing with a knife and is more degrading than just punching.

And you can kick in Valheim, but you can't really kick in vanilla. Until now.The Give 'Em The Boot mod takes your kick to new heights by launching your enemies to new heights. Lighter enemies, like lowly Glade Wharfs, are actually pushed into the air by your powerful boots. Heavier enemies may not be launched, but they will still be knocked back more than normal. The mod also allows you to kick with your weapon, so even if you run out of stamina after being attacked by a mob, you can still take out the enemy and make a second or two to spare. Let's try it out:

It's not exactly a one-hit kill. Leveling up your unarmed skills will increase the power of your kicks. Wearing heavier leg armor will make your kicks even more powerful and give you bonuses from already staggered enemies.

And if you're worried about kicking hard and sending your loot flying off the cliff, don't be. Even if you deliver a killing blow, your powerful boots will not send the enemy flying through the air, only knocking him back horizontally, making it easier to retrieve the loot. This is a thoughtful feature.

Most amusing is the little text on the screen that says "BOOT," "YEET," and "BYE" when you kick. Kinda cute! If you don't agree, you can turn off the text in the mod's configuration file. Try it in action:

Thanks, RPS.
