Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti expected to be available in mid-May

More delays for the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti, as ITHome (via.VideoCardz) reports that the release date is being pushed back again.

This most recent postponement (now the fifth) has pushed the RTX 3080 Ti from a planned mid-April release date to around mid-May. Originally, these cards were scheduled to come our way in January, but the situation has since deteriorated.

Not surprising in view of the current worldwide web of storms causing GPU shortages, but disappointing news nonetheless.

The two cards we expect to see in May are the RTX 3080 Ti 12GB and the RTX 3070 Ti 8GB; the 3080 Ti has 10,240 CUDA cores versus the 3070 Ti's 6,144 cores, each with approximately 864 GB/s of memory bandwidth ( 912 GB/sec depending on who you believe) and 608 GB/sec. The 3080 Ti's base clock is about 1,400 MHz and boost is expected to be around 1,700 MHz.

We are betting that the base price will be around $999, but in reality we will see it sold for ridiculously high prices on the Internet.

At least in this case you have time to save a little more.
