Get ready for a gorgeous 14" Razer AMD Ryzen gaming laptop!

Razer is set to release a 14-inch AMD gaming laptop. We are big fans of Razer machines and the Blade 15 is still our pick as the best gaming laptop you can buy.

Combining these together in a small 14" frame is expected to result in the best looking AMD gaming laptop ever released. This would follow the Asus Zephyrus G14 in introducing Ryzen mobile to the 14-inch form factor, but with a pleasingly restrained, MacBook-esque aesthetic from Razer.

This rumor was confirmed by Twitter serial leaker (tweaker?) @_rogame recently made headlines when he mentioned the possibility of a Ryzen 5000-based device with a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and RTX 3060 graphics card. However, this is a promising machine that was also teased by sources close to Razer.

The fact that it is being talked about in the Twitterverse suggests that it is in the final push for a full-scale launch. [So far, the latest generation of gaming notebooks with the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs have almost exclusively used older Intel notebook chips; from Asus, the ROG Strix Scar 17 with its own 5900HX chip and and the Asus TUF Dash 15 with the new Tiger Lake H35 CPU were notable exceptions, but Razer in particular has been adamant about sticking with 10th generation processors. [but that no longer seems to be the case.

Interestingly, both our sources and those talking to our lone tweaker are talking specifically about a new laptop form factor that Razer is not currently using, which makes me think this may not be a Blade laptop. I would expect that due to Razer's historical relationship with Intel, the laptop company has chosen to segment AMD Ryzen machines so that they are not direct competitors to the existing Intel lineup.

It is unlikely that a Razer Blade 15 gaming laptop with an option to integrate an AMD Ryzen processor will appear.

Given that the rumored specs are a combination of Ryzen 9 5900HX and GeForce RTX 3060, it may appear sooner rather than later. We were first alerted to the possibility of a 14-inch AMD machine earlier this year, but we expected this to be an all-AMD setup with either a Radeon RX 6600 or RX 6700 mobile GPU, which are promised to be available by summer, if they appear later this year

Razor.

The Razer Blade Stealth 13 is one of the most beautiful ultrabooks, and a 14-inch Razer AMD gaming laptop could hit the sweet spot between the 13-inch and 15-inch small form factors

So what could Razer call its new AMD lineup if not Blade? If Razer had not screwed up and called their 2013 tablet the Razer Edge, I would be 100% behind it.
