Zombies in "Call Of Duty: Warzone" Attack Bank

Call Of Duty: Warzone zombies continue their epic tour throughout Verdansk. After washing up on the beach and wandering into a hospital, the zombie horde has now arrived at the Acropolis National Bank.

The undead first arrived on the shores of Verdansk almost a month ago and are slowly infecting new areas of the map. This week, Raven announced that the bank would be the next place to be attacked, teasing that "savings is the only thing worth saving."

The warning came along with an in-character lore entry on the Warzone blog, which investigated several possible reasons for the latest infection. The least likely, but most entertaining, is that decaying humans are "attracted to fiat currency," which would at least explain why Warzone participants can loot cash and ammunition from their corpses.

The last time zombies moved to a new location, Activision teased content creators by sending themed hospital scrubs with ominous messages. No such luck this time around, it seems. The publisher of "Call of Duty" isn't going to help you open a bank account.

The ongoing zombie invasion is widely believed to herald a new map for Warzone; Verdansk is expected to be nuked in the next month in response to an out-of-control outbreak, paving the way for Warzone to move into an entirely new arena.
