This year's Call Of Duty, reportedly in development by "COD: WW2" creator Sledgehammer, may return to World War II. This is due to a leak allegedly revealed earlier this month by Call Of Duty fan site Modern Warzone, which Eurogamer has "partially" confirmed.

According to Modern Warzone, the subtitle "Vanguard" will be changed closer to launch, but Eurogamer's sources say that Activision plans to keep the title at launch; Eurogamer also says that the title will be changed to "Vanguard" and that the title will be changed to "Vanguard" at launch, that the Vanguard will be set in "an alternate timeline in which 1945 was not the end of World War II," as reported by Modern Warzone, the source denied.
