Sega Tops Metacritic's 2020 Publisher Rankings

Each year, review aggregator and discussion starter Metacritic publishes a ranking list of video game publishers based on review scores of titles released in the past 12 months. This time around, the PC version of "Persona 4 Golden" (87 points), "Football Manager 2021" (85 points), "Yakuza: Like a Dragon" (83 points), and various DLCs for "Total War" averaged 80 points. 90 points for "Yakuza 0" Xbox One There is no doubt that re-releases of older titles, such as the port of "Yakuza 0," contributed to the score.

Second on the list was "If Found..." (84 points) and "I am Dead" (77 points), while the console versions of "Kentucky Route Zero" and "Florence" did well. In fact, the average score was slightly higher than Sega's, 81.9 compared to 81.6, but no game averaged more than 90 points, missing out on bonus points. Let's contact Metacritic for more information.

Capcom was the third largest publisher, Sony was fourth, and Activision Blizzard was fifth. Activision Blizzard dropped from second place last year, but did not drop any further due to the high score of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2" (88 points).

505 Games, the top publisher in 2019 thanks to "Control" (85) and "Bloodstained", had a significant drop: although it was the top publisher in 2019 thanks to "Ritual of the Night" (83), in the latest ranking it slipped to 13th place.
