Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 boasts 484 PC fixes, including soft lock bugs and NPC antics

Update: Patch 1.2 is now available on PC; it's a massive 33GB on GOG, which works out to roughly 64MB per bug fix. The more you know!

Original story CD Projekt Red announced that a 1.2 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is "coming soon," but not before putting a whole light novel's worth of patch notes online.

There are a whopping 505 changes to analyze here, 484 if you exclude console-specific fixes. A quick breakdown of the changes:

Most of the fixes relate to quests, quirky NPC behavior, and bugs that interfere with game progression. For example, the TV in Tom's Diner no longer breaks and ruins the main quest, and the Stadium Love quest poster is no longer destroyed before a certain point.

Several fashionable cyberpunk scenes are also being modified. For example, V is no longer crushed to death by a sliding ladder, no longer poses in a bare T-pose on a motorcycle, and NPCs no longer leave phantom pee streams after using urinals.

There are also PC-specific fixes and additions, such as ray tracing on AMD graphics cards, more key bind options, and fixes for 8K resolution.

You can check the Cyberpunk web site for an absolute glut of listings for those who want to do a little reading in their spare time. There is no firm release date for the update yet, and the estimated file size is unknown, but judging by the sheer number of fixes, one can probably expect it to be a big one.

The update was originally scheduled for February, but was postponed after a cyber attack that month encrypted the studio's servers and stole source code for "Cyberpunk" and "The Witcher 3."
