NFL player accidentally leaks new contract to wife's "Call of Duty: War Zone" squad.

I've heard all sorts of "interesting" things in the "Call of Duty: Warzone" voice chat, but this is the first time I've heard an NFL player spill the beans about signing with a new team, Reddit user ProbationOfficer2035 said this week weekend overheard this very thing when he ran into Twitch streamer Oohtally, who is also the wife of Bears offensive guard Rashard Coward.

The probation officer described this unlikely event in an official NFL subreddit, saying that his teammate "had her microphone on and heard her husband talking about a "deal" in the background. That "deal" was Coward's move to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The last I heard was that if no one called me in the next 30 minutes, he wanted to go to Pittsburgh and was going to sign a three-year contract to facilitate the trade."

Ironically, Probation had scooped Coward's move to Pittsburgh two full days before anyone else, but we didn't know which player was overheard in the background. Otally, however, picked up the news at the end of her Warzone stream today.

"Shout out to the Bears. That's the reality. We had a great time here. Steeler's Nation." Coward also retweeted people making light of the accidental Warzone leak. He also seems pretty excited to be a Steeler. Which is understandable, given that black and gold is objectively cooler than the Bears' blue and orange. (Moral of the story: turn on push-to-talk and don't broadcast conversations containing sensitive information to an unspecified number of Warzone players; it might end up on Reddit. Whether it's chatter about your multi-million dollar contract or what kind of hamburger you want at McDonald's, we're listening.
