We have not tested this model, but there are several intriguing factors. One is the patented dual-chamber design of the water block, which is intended to isolate the pump from heat and extend its life (Enermax backs this cooler with a five-year warranty).

Enermax also points to another patented technology, the cold plate shunt channel design, which, according to Enermax, allows the cooler to inject coolant into the hottest part of the cold plate and better handle thermal surges when the CPU is under load This allows the cooler to better handle the thermal surges that occur when the CPU is under load. It also shortens the coolant flow path and transfers heat more quickly.
