Next map for "Call of Duty: Warzone" leaks, but is quickly shut down by Activision

The long wait for a new map for "Call of Duty: Warzone" has left some fans jittery. But that should be over soon: current estimates are that the new map will be added at the end of Season 2, around April 22, when Verdanisk will (possibly) explode.

The first footage of that new map was leaked to Twitter today as part of a live-action ad, and apparently the prediction is correct: as VGC pointed out, the spot will replace Verdansk's current landmarks with a stadium under construction, an aqueduct, underground tunnels, Black Ops- Cold War-era new landmarks are shown, including a huge radar array like the one at the end of the Cold War campaign.

Unfortunately, the video disappeared soon after it leaked due to a removal notice from Activision. According to Charlie Intell, the ad is about a minute long and shows a celebrity flying around a map of Verdansk in a helicopter, changing from its current state to a version from the 1980s. Other changes include a bridge instead of a dam and the addition of a Cold War-era plane at the airport. Both sites indicate that the leaked live-action spots themselves are also unfinished.

It is clear that Activision is preparing something, and it is likely to happen relatively soon - the date of April 22 has not yet been confirmed, but it is looking very likely. Until then, here's what we know for sure: everything changed in the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, plus the best Warzone loadouts and class setups. If you're interested in Warzone's skill-based matchmaking, here's more Take a look.
