AMD Ryzen gaming PC with GeForce RTX 3060 for $1,230

Earlier today, we wrote about a CyberPowerPC configuration with an Intel Core i7 10700K and GeForce RTX 3070 at Best Buy. If this is sold out, or if you want something a bit more affordable, Walmart is selling another CyberPowerPC setup with an AMD Ryzen 3700X and GeForce RTX 3060 for $1,229.99.

Finding a pre-integrated desktop with the latest GPU hardware from Nvidia or AMD in stock (usually from a marketplace seller) is fairly rare unless the price is very high. Newegg, for example, has several RTX 3060-powered desktops priced in excess of $2,000. Yeah, no thanks.

This particular setup should be suitable for mid-range gameplay: the Ryzen 7 3700X is now a previous-generation part (Zen 2), but it's a sprightly CPU with an 8 core/16 thread design, running at up to 4.4 GHz (max boost).

As for the GeForce RTX 3060 (non-Ti model), Jacob tested the card and found it to offer "a healthy performance boost over the RTX 2060" and a cheaper suggested release date price. The card is powerful enough to handle 1440p gameplay on many titles and, of course, supports real-time ray tracing.

This configuration also brings 16GB of RAM to the gaming party. The 240GB SSD, which I would be the first to upgrade to, is less appealing, but at least it has a much larger 1TB HDD.

As a reasonably priced gaming PC with the latest graphics card, this is another desktop that is at high risk of selling out.
