Action RPG "Wolcen" undergoes a major update.

General
Action RPG "Wolcen" undergoes a major update.

Wolcen was too buggy for our liking when we reviewed it last year, but the developer's ambitious update plans may inspire us to revisit this gritty Diablo-esque action RPG.

Update 1.1.1, a.k.a. Blood Storm Update Four new environments playable in Endgame's Expedition and 13 environmental variations, including such intriguing additions as "bloodthirsty swamps" and "stagnant graveyards" have been added. In addition, 30 difficulty levels have been added and, perhaps most importantly, pets can now pick up gold. Thanks, little guy.

Damage type modifiers have been redesigned and new visual effects have been introduced for skills such as Annihilation, Anomaly, Mark of Impurity, and Tears of Ethereal. Expect new monster animations and significant balancing of skills as well.

The update also adds a number of bug fixes, including a fix for performance issues when casting certain buffs and debuffs. There are also fixes for more serious progression issues, such as an issue where "if you die in the Chapter 1 boss, you will no longer be able to click on the red portal to enter his arena and your character may be soft-locked."

More details on the patch can be found in the developer's Steam news post. If you prefer a more story-driven game, check out our list of the best RPGs on PC.
