'Call of Duty: Warzone' best guns nerfed

The FFAR is one of the best guns in Warzone and may be one of the most popular loadouts in the game today. However, according to Raven, that is not the case at all, and the latest Warzone patch will nerf the FFAR significantly.

In today's patch notes, the developer explains that it now takes longer to aim down the sights with this weapon.

"The FFAR is a jack-of-all-trades. It has the damage profile and range of an AR and the rate of fire of an SMG...The FFAR's effectiveness outstrips that of an SMG at ranges we are not happy with." Ideally, the FFAR would serve as a medium-range dominator while falling prey to weapons that excel at close-range engagements. We are trying to bring the FFAR a little closer to the kind of damage and range that one would expect from an AR, at the expense of manageability.

The Cold War Tactical Rifle Charlie has been nerfed in a similar style, with increased recoil: "Right now, we feel that given the killing power of this rifle, it is too easy to keep it on target."

The FFAR's "damage and range are not as good as we would like.

There are a number of other minor changes and bug fixes, with more significant changes to the tactical map. Players can now double-click on the map to send a "danger" ping to a teammate, and when hovering over a particular pingable object, the object's name is now displayed for easy identification. Other changes include: pings are now more accurately placed.

At first glance, it doesn't seem like much, but this patch is a whopping 52.4 GB for Warzone-only players and 133.6 GB for players playing Warzone and Modern Warfare. Amazing! Activision doesn't have room on their hard drive for other games?
