Nukes for "Call of Duty: Warzone" landed early

Nuclear bombs have started falling on the battlefields of Call Of Duty: Warzone. Fortunately for players, however, it seems that someone forgot to arm the nuclear warheads before dropping them on Verdansk.

It has long been known that a nuclear apocalypse awaits Warzone, but apparently the missiles got a head start, with several players witnessing nuclear warheads preemptively erupt from their silos and crash to earth without exploding.

COD fansite Modern Warzone actually got close to one of these impacts and showed off the massive scale of these things before it disappeared with a whoosh of air. Not exactly the nuclear Armageddon we were expecting.

Redditor AmedeeO10 posted a similar video of multiple rockets being fired, suggesting that the glitch may be exclusive to the King Slayer Trios playlist.

The prevailing theory is that it is related to the ongoing Verdansk zombie outbreak. Current leaked information suggests an 80's themed version of Verdansk, with many of the landmark structures dramatically altered.

The new map and next season of Call Of Duty is expected to arrive on April 22, at which point the missiles will be a bit more deadly.

Cheers, Eurogamer.
